Explore operates from a luxury office development within the heart of Reading, allowing it access to business not only within the Thames Valley markets but also the lucrative London markets. Explore's clients range from small and medium enterprises to major multinational blue chips.

The role is varied, demanding and challenging to say the least. Consultants need to be innovative, tenacious, money motivated and very target driven. From a client perspective consultants will be responsible for managing and developing existing business as well as developing new business predominantly through 'cold calling'. Objection handling and gaining commitment is frequently involved as well as selling the superior recruitment services we provide over the phone and by way of client visits. From a candidate perspective consultants will be involved in pre screening and selection of candidates, arranging and managing interviews with clients and candidates and selling high caliber candidates to our vast database of clients.

Training is unrivalled at explore. The award winning directors individually train up each consultant through a systematic and structured training programme which is 'on the job' and therefore ongoing allowing consistent improvement. Regular coaching sessions, workshops and weekly meetings as well as external training all contribute to providing the highest quality of training making consultants the best in their field and in turn maximising the already huge earning potential. We have career opportunities at the following levels:

  • Senior Consultants
    Ideally with at least 2-5 years’ experience, you’ll have a deep understanding of the recruitment marketplace – and will be highly-skilled in networking with clients to gain new and repeat business, as well as interviewing and negotiating with candidates.
  • Trainee Consultants
    Recruitment is competitive, hard work and pressurised … with a steep learning curve. Prior sales experience is ideal. But we especially want highly-motivated team players with a good attitude, willingness to learn and a hunger to succeed.

What’s It Like To Work For Us?

I was working as a field sales rep and decided that I need an opportunity that presented a real challenge and real career prospects. A friend of mine who works in the industry recommended working in IT Recruitment and mentioned that it was an excellent job to be involved in. As I had no previous recruitment experience I was concerned that I might be getting in a bit over my head but once I joined ERS as a trainee consultant I realised that although the role is extremely challenging, I have all the support and training I need to reach my full potential.

I spend the majority of the day on the phone to clients and candidates. In the few moments of the day when I am not on the phone I am organising my workload, arranging interviews and making placements. The role itself is extremely satisfying and the earning potential is huge. I know that if I continue to work hard I have real career prospects maybe running my own office or team.

     

Since being given the opportunity to join the team at ERS I feel like my life has taken a new direction, and where I previously just had a ‘job’ I now feel like I have a career. The work itself is rewarding on both a personal level and a professional one. The financial rewards are fantastic!
